Partnership
Van Moer Logistics and Descroes, the Antwerp specialist in the disinfection and treatment of ships, containers and all kinds of loads, enter an exclusive partnership. A fumigation zone with a capacity of 80 TEU will be set up at the Trimodal Terminal Brussels (TTB) which was recently acquired by Van Moer Logistics.
Brussels
The fumigations will mainly be carried out for the export containers that are collected from Northern France, Wallonia and Brussels at the TTB consolidation point. The zone is operated by Van Moer Logistics, while Descroes will carry out the treatments on site.
Thanks to the exclusive collaboration, treatments will be available for wood, logs, food and tobacco. Descroes provides a tailor-made treatment of the goods.
Intermodal logistics
The containers will then be transported by inland shipping to the port of Antwerp via the TTB terminal. In this way, both partners work together on the further development of the Brussels port area and focus on sustainable organized logistics thanks to the optimal use of intermodal transport.
