Ackermans & van Haaren (AvH) invests 12.5 million euros in a capital increase of Van Moer Logistics (Van Moer), thereby acquiring a participation of 21.7%.

In 2020, Van Moer realised a turnover of 186 million euros (+7.5%) and an operating cash flow (EBITDA) of 13.4 million euros.

With the acquisition of TTB in March 2021, Van Moer added the inland shipping terminal in Brussels (17,100 m²) to its network. Van Moer also strengthened its position in tank container logistics with the recent acquisitions of NDB Logistics and Bertels International.

“We have great respect for the entrepreneurship of Jo Van Moer and his colleagues. We have discovered how much their no-nonsense approach, characterised by flexibility and enthusiasm in a spirit of partnership, is in line with the values of Ackermans & van Haaren. We look forward to being able to support the further development of Van Moer in the long term. For us this is a unique opportunity to invest in sustainable mobility and logistics and to reinforce our presence in the port of Antwerp,” says Tom Bamelis, CFO of Ackermans & van Haaren, who together with Philip Heylen will represent AvH on the board of directors of Van Moer.

"We are very pleased with the investment of Ackermans & van Haaren in the capital of Van Moer Logistics. This partnership will allow us to further realize our ambitious goals in the field of sustainable logistics in the short and long term," says Jo Van Moer, CEO of Van Moer Logistics.
